The Farm Business Survey provides information on the physical and economic performance of farm businesses in England, to inform policy decisions on matters affecting farm businesses. It is intended to serve the needs of government, government partners, farming and land management interest groups, and researchers.

Region Reports
The FBS Region Reports are a fully indexed system of reports on the financial and physical performance of farm businesses within each Region of England. Individual report pages include profitability of farm businesses, assets and liabilities as well as cropping and stocking. Report commentaries provide context to the report tables.
Enterprise Reports from Rural Business Research (RBR)
RBR publishes 'Enteprise' and 'Farm Type' reports combining expert data analysis, and interpretation with commentary on the sector. Intelligence reports, published twice a year, comment upon issues and opportunities across the regions. Also other 'Technical reports'. Farm Benchmarking
FBS Benchmarking allows you to compare the financial performance of your business to the performance of average and top performing farms of the same farm type. This system allows comparison of your profit and loss account, gross margins, balance sheet and performance measures.
New EU Benchmarking pages have been added to allow comparison of wheat and dairy production across EU countries.

FBS data builder is a specialist interactive tool for professionals and researchers. FBS data builder allows direct interrogation of FBS data to construct user defined tables.

Projection Calculator
FBS projection calculator is the unique online internet tool that allows users to calculate projected enterprise margins into the future. Using either FBS data, or their own farm results, users can estimate future margins on the basis of futures market prices. The site is free to use.
